Wiki Progress
Yes, we (StDoodle, fewyn, Grotfang, Alhifar & others) have been putting a lot of work into revamping, updating, and polishing this wiki over the last week or so. But the "Progress Level" on the main page is going down. Why? Simple; there was a lot of cruft, a lot of broken links, a lot of abandoned pages, etc. While most of the users mentioned above have been coming up with new content & standards, fewyn has used his admin super-powers to get rid of the stuff that really shouldn't be here. Please trust that the number of red links is going down, and the amount of content is going up!
But we can still use your help! Please lend a hand on any of the following:
- Code Samples: Coming up with sample code that illustrates a given function in a useful way without being overly complicated for the new user is challenging; suggestions & additions that accomplish these goals are in high demand!
- Unknown Functions: Quite a few functions are mysterious to me, and possibly others. I have little info on how combat consult functions work, for example. If you can help with a specific function, please add whatever you can to its specific page, talk page, or category page (or use my Talk Page). If you don't feel comfortable with the templating system, don't worry; just add what you can, and someone else can clean it up later. (Note: once the vast majority of pages are set up to standards, I would like to make sure all non-formatted info goes onto discussion pages).
- Gruntwork: There are a LOT of pages to add; if you feel comfortable using the templates provided, please go ahead! See Basic Templates for a list of templates used for function pages; there should be enough info there to get started, but if not, please join us in the #kolmafia IRC channel or post questions on my Talk Page.
Note that while I have plans for expanding some functionality of function pages, they don't interfere with getting the work done now; it's all stuff that can be added-in a line or two at a time once such expansions are made.
Note also that, while I've put a bit of work into having an underlying structure for function pages, the rest is rather lacking. Some of the templates could certainly be useful on other pages (CodeSample in particular), but I don't have any "grand plan" for how to organize datatypes, language conventions, etc. But don't worry about it! If the page exists, edit in some more info if it's a subject you're interested in. If you're really hesitant to change what's there, add it to the discussion page for the article. If a page doesn't exist, and you really think it should, don't hesitate to create it. Moving it around later, if deemed necessary, doesn't take any real effort (but do try not to link to a new page from a great deal of places until it's name has been reviewed, please; again, use my Talk Page, this page, or IRC if you desire any guidance).
Also, don't worry about offending me! I may have seemed a bit touchy over the () issue (and I was, but only because of how it impacted FUNCTIONALITY of the wiki), but even then, I'm happier with the eventual compromise than my original plans. And I certainly don't own the place; I'm just trying to help!
All thoughts welcome.

Current Discussion of Standards
Discussions are underway regarding future standards for editing of this wiki over on http://www.kolmafia.us/showthread.php?t=3535. Please see information in that thread before making any serious effort to edit the ash-related portions of this wiki for the near future. Thanks! --StDoodle 12:16, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Most of the function-related templates are fairly well set. For extensive directions on making use of these templates, please refer to the FunctionPage Template.--StDoodle 17:58, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
I think we're set for doing functions & function pages! Please check out the documentation provide with the following templates:
Template:FunctionPage, Template:Function, Template:Param, Template:SeeAlso & Template:Pspan.--StDoodle 16:15, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Front Page Article, Updates, and Questions
I noticed that there does not seem to be an complete guide on datatypes, maps, records, or anything else of the like. Would creating an article on datatypes, constraints, and setups be good? Or should info like that be put into their respective (separate) pages? Another thought also pops to mind; if the wiki were to have a "Beginner's Guide to ASH Scripting" tutorial (similar to the one on KoLMafia's sourceforge, but updated) things like this would fit in it well. Just a thought. Out of practice 04:08, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
EDIT: Also, what should be the procedure for us to follow for linking a function's short description (in one of the front-page articles) with its own (completed) page? I just finished an extensive map_to_file() page (in more detail than you'd expect), and a slightly-less-awesome (but still working) floor() and file_to_map() page, and was wondering how I should link them for the benefit of others (who wouldn't naturally search for its own page). Help:Contents needs an update with the wiki posting standards as well. Are the admins still around regularly?--Out of practice 07:26, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Updating?
Let's get started, guys. Soon enough, I'll have a list of all the functions, which I think should go in a wiki page to (as someone above said) search and link. Also, is there a way to do monospacing with code? --MagiNinjA 00:35, 29 March 2007 (CDT)
- You can get mono-spaced text by using <code> tags. For example, using
<code>EXAMPLE TEXT</code>
produces this as a result.EXAMPLE TEXT

Ideas...
These are my ideas that I have floating around in my head:
- A template to put all the relevant information about a function into a table (with proper colored backgrounds and such)
- I can do this; I just need to know what information is 'relevant'.
- Move this type of discussion to the Community Portal. Right now the CP is just a bunch of links (we can make a 'links' page and add it to the sidebar if needed).
- An overhaul of the main page. Someone said that they don't like the 'portal' type of look, but that kind of look has become the de facto standard for wikis, as it is the most popular. I'll pound out a rough draft on a subpage of my user space.
- Creation of a template structure. Templates for requesting deletion, protection, etc. That way non-sysop flagged users can 'tag' pages such as this for deletion.
- Logo! 'Cause we need to be cool like that.
- Define a category structure. Do it now before too many pages get created.
Like I said... I'm here to help. Comments plox. —ksumoe (talk • contrib) 21:17, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
I added some links on the home page -- hope that helps users find more documentation... :) -Daychilde
I corrected the Script Repository link to http://www.kolmafia.us from http://www.kolmafia.ua. ;) -Regnar
Links to Redirects?
While I understand the need for redirect, why are we linking to redirect pages? Why not use [[Page Title|Displayed Text]] links instead?
Protection
Seriously, protect the front page. This is getting completely destroyed by spam 80.189.248.109 12:05, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

Current wiki layout
I was just curious if we could get the current wiki main page layout centered? As in simply putting
<center> </center>
around the main text.

Building up
As a person that is just starting in this(with no experience at ALL), I was sent to this site and as just a little helping tip, this list lots of functions which should stay that way but it never tells you how to put it all together(or atleast i haven't found the page that does). --Tipmon1995
